Happy Birthday Srila Gurudev!!

Today our small family has gathered once again to celebrate our beloved Gurudev’s Sri Vyasa Puja. It is one of those gorgeous days that we find the chance to chant Maha-mantra and to have prashad.

Early hours in the evening people who has come to celebrate this holy day and to do kirtan first visited the altar of our beloved Gurudev and showed their respects, wishing Him a healthy & long life. The altar which has already been prepared was enriched with the cakes, chocolate and flowers that have been brought by them.

All of the devotees were already aware of the fact that the kirtans performed on such auspicious days do have a novel taste hence everybody was eagerly expecting the kirtan to get started after the evening arati, waiting for our leader Ramaray Prabhu to be seated. Following Prabhu’s short talk concerning the importance and the significance of the day, the sound of Maha-mantra was heard everywhere.

Later on when the kirtan was over the special birthday cake was offered to Srila Gurudev and the prashad was delivered. Despite the plentiful prashad that has been served nobody has forgotten to get some of the candies, cakes, chocolate and fruits those have been offered to Gurudev in front of the altar and everybody did also remember to prayed to get blessed by Gurudev.
