Publicity for Yoga in National Library

 Ankara, Turkey – 17.10.2007

Our leader Ramaray Prabhu was invited to the 1st International Symposium for the Blind and Librarianship organized by Republic of Turkey Ministry of Culture and Tourism National Library Chairmanship, Altınokta Charitable Foundation For the Blind and UNAK (University and Researcher Librarians Association).  Symposium’s  4th session which was to be lasted 20 minutes was allocated for Ramaray Prabhu.  There were plenty of things to be shared but the allocated time was too limited, for this reason, Ramaray Prabhu briefly focused on what the aim of yoga is. Recommending that everyone whether they are visually-impaired or not should turn into themselves and listen to their inner voice Ramaray Prabhu showed some techniques to the audience related to his advice. Most of the time words are not satisfactory enough. The most influential way to learn is to gain experience. For this reason, practice followed the talk immediately. Eyes were closed. Because that was the starting point of our travel into our inner colorful and peaceful  world. But we could not see anything apart from the darkness. Actually, using our eyes we could only see the outer world but it seems in order to see our inner world which is full of bliss we all need a different eye... Despite the fact that everyone has a third eye, it has already lost its function due to our ignorance about how to use it...

In the end of the practice there were people who were saying “we felt great” and wanted to continue with it. But, unfortunately, in such organizations the time is always limited for the speakers to do their presentations. Therefore, our leader had to finish his presentation without informing the audience about the third eye. However, as he was leaving the conference hall he had got a nice idea in his mind, which was to organize a new seminar appealing to these people... Our leader’s desire to help others was, in fact, directing himself towards the service. In reality, he was very well aware of the fact that by helping others he knew that he was at Srila Govinda Maharaj’s  service.

Jaya Srila Gurudev, ki jaya!
