Ankara, Turkey – 19.09.2007 Every year fifteen days after Sri Krsna Janmastami, at
noons, we celebrate Sri Radhastami
among ourselves. This year we also planned to organize a same type of
celebration but the events developed in a very different way… Until the noon
time everything was going smoothly as we had planned, a few friends with the
accompany of Hare Krishna Maha-Mantra were dancing and helping us to finish
the preparations. As the cooking and the other preparations were being done
gradually the other friends who took a lunch break at their offices started
to turn up, as well. So people could hardly find places for themselves at
the table; because thinking that it would be difficult for the working devotees
to take permission from their work places, a rather small table had been
prepared. It was almost impossible for our working friends to pay a short
visit to the centre at noon time since it was a week day, but it seemed that
they tried all their best to be able to come to the centre to join the
celebration. But the real surprise was that the people who had had
the prasads and left the center at noon, came together again in the evening time in
our center. Surprisingly, the number of the participants was more than that
of the lunch group. Spontaneously a kirtan group was formed and benefiting
from this warm atmosphere Ramaray Prabhu gathered us around him and told us
about the features and importance of Srimati Radharani. And then we continued
by Kirtan. Despite the late hour at night and the end of the
kirtan, there were still people who were dancing and frolicing singing
maha-mantra in the rooms and the kitchen… Experiencing the enthusiasm which
they want it to last forever they were repeating the name of Srimati
Radharani in their hearts… Jaya Sri Radhastami, ki jaya!
