16th National Congress of Renal Deseases Dialysis and Transplantation Nursing

Antalya. Turkey – 28.10 -01.11.2006

We are promoting yoga to the people in the health sector. On Professor Doctor Ms. Birsen’s invitation we are going to Antalya which is situated on the South Coast of Turkey. Within the frames of the social activities of 16th National Congress of Renal Deseases Dialysis and Transplantation Nursing which is to be held there, we will present and  focus on the topic “how to cope with stress” using yoga and meditation techniques.

The preparations in the hall for our session has just finished and our session starts at 8.30 in the morning. Doctors and the nurses enter the hall one by one and take their seats. Due to the limited capacity of the conference which is for only 65 people, we, unfortunately, can not  admit the rest of our guests asking them to come to our evening session.

Having all our guests being seated, we start to wait for  our leader Ramaray’s joining us. We invite everyone to the silence…. Then an unexpected music-like sound is heard…..Our friends who are in charge of sound arrangements in the conference try to find out the source of this music. …Nature has composed her own music…. The sound of rain….

Our programme continues accompanied by this music. The guests attentively listen to Ramaray’s speech. Thanks to his explanations everyone has grasped the core concept of Yoga: “Yoga is to connect. With  whom? With God, with Krishna. Yoga is the science of God, God realization; Yoga is the science of self, self-realization; Yoga is the science of life….” Ramaray with his sriking words holds light to the hearts of the audience. “Spiritualism is to dance, to sing and to enjoy life…” continues Ramaray to his speech by building a new spiruality concept in the audience.

Thanks to his speech the interest of the audience increases so much that half an hour before the evening session the guests start to wait impatiently waiting for a sign from us to take their seats at the entrance of the hall.  This time the number of participants is more than the previous one. We move to a larger hall because of  the number of the  audience. This time the content of our workshop is a bit different. Ramaray prefers to meet the needs of the guests according to their questions and demands and this time he teaches various relaxation techniques which can be applied in different time and places. Meanwhile, mentioning the topics such as “who we are; from where and why we come to this world; now that we are here what we should do; and where we shall go after the death” our leader, Ramaray, inserts the seeds of Krishna (God) Consciousness in the minds of the audience.

One hour and forty –five minutes passes very quickly.

Having no other conference programme following Ramaray’s session is a good opportunity to answer the private questions directed to our leader. All wants to ask questions  and take pictures wih him. The most asked question “Do you have a center outside Ankara?” has showed us that we have to spread our mission, Krishna Consciousness, across Turkey in the other cities.

To those who want to connect with us we give hand outs and brochures. Intensive attention to all our 3 meetings…

The last night and  2600 people at the Conference dinner…. People around us are watching our group with great interest…. Ramaray has made them think about Krishna and themselves.

We are coming back to Ankara and a great  feeling of peace fills our heart , thanks to having accomplished our mission… Dear Srila Gurudev please accept our humble obeicanses at Your Lotus Feet for giving us the opportunity to serve.

Jaya Srila Gurudev, ki jaya!
