Yoga Tatili Bolu-Gerede, 17-24.06.2006
But our yoga camp or holiday
doesnot match with the definitions given above. We are on a holiday because
we want to dispose of our daily tasks
or activites, we want to increase our energy. We can describe ours as a camp
because we turn back to our very nature and
to our inner world. Here is the answer to the
question “how.” Getting up early, without putting everything into words but
feel them, stopping our inner talks and being together with our selves and
the nature, talking with trees, taking
energy from them. Here is our story…. On the
first day as it was plannned beforehand we put our luggage in our cars and
started our travel. But preparations took longer than we planned. In the
previous meeting we had talkd about the thing s that we had to bring to Bolu. It seemed as if 4 seasons in one day
with respect to our wearings. Against the freezing cold weather of the
morning and the evening the burning hotness of the noon we wanted to be
ready. Luggage is put into the cars together with the music set, harmonium,
kartallas and mridanga. After a one and a halh hour
travel we arrive at our hotels. Before we go for a rest in our rooms we have
delicious breakfast. Except for 2 people this breakfast is the one all of us
have been longing for At the table there is honey and fatty cream.
Leaving the past behind and
being in the present at every moment has refreshed ourselves as if we were
new born babies. Noone could predict how enjoyable it was to leave one’s
attachments and relations aside and
how much free this would make a person. We are doing the things that are
against the socially accepted patterns of behaviour such as getting rid of
all the relations and attachments and cutting all the inner talks, feeling
the body and breathe only, being present only at the moment and act within
the frames of the rules of the programme.
Although we go to the same
place every year still everything is different. When we ask the reason for
this the answer Our leader gives us is very interesting: “Your mind is doing
this to you. You eat the same dish every day, you see the same people every
day, you go the same place everyday but actually nothing is the same .
Although it seems different the breakfast we have today is not be the same as the one we will have tomorrow.
Ramaray today wil be different from Ramaray tomorrow. By training your mind gradually grasp this
difference. And after that your life will be more colorful and beautiful and
full of excitement. I think thanks to this training programme we will be able
to catch this. Everything we have learnt is very simple and easy, on our part
what we need to do is to apply this knowledge to our daily lives and make it
our life styles. It seems all the techniques and
strategies helped our travel to be defined as “being consciously mad and this
is what makes us change. All the negative feelings, anger and nervousness are
going out and the feelings and behaviors that we have never been aware of,
such as “how much I can trust others” “how further I can go to attain my
goal”, are showing themselves to us.
A holday that can not be
told by using 26 letters. Rapidly
spent 8 days and 7 nights. The Bolu –Gerede vacation is
over. We are close to Ankara borders and
facing the chaos created by the mind: noise of the cars, nervous
drivers … on the other hand we have the experience of one week lasting peace in which there exist harmony and adjustment
that we manage to seize among the birds, flowers and trees. In such a
contrasting situation it seems there is only one thing that we can do to
handle this discordant urban life and to attain the same peaceful mood. That
is to live our every moment as we have lived “there”. By exploring the
harmony between the opposites in order to seize the absolute happiness… |
